As you will know, the roll ups organised by Geoff Brook are now well under way on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays. To do this, he has created a spreadsheet for the 32 people involved, of whom he invites 12 to play each time. Organised into singles and doubles, with lawns and ball colour clearly allocated, people are able to get on with their games with no fuss. .
To keep things fair, Geoff keeps a record of who can play when and how many games they have played. He doesn't play himself unless someone forgets to turn up.
This has been so good for new members that at least one of them says she doesn't need a Buddy!
This is pretty impressive, both in terms of the time Geoff is dedicating to it and the technical skills he is able to bring to bear. Another example of 'behind the scenes' work that helps members enjoy their croquet despite the constraints of the pandemic. Thank you, Geoff, from us all.
