New coaching in tricky times

The risks of contracting the virus by touching croquet balls is a matter of concern to many.  We are all encouraged to wash our hands when doing so, but some people forget to do this, or are allergic to water, unless taken internally with whisky.

If this applies to you, please note that there is now an alternative technique. Balls can be stored in the ball tubes without using your hands.  The attached photo shows the recommended technique, developed by a Mr Arthur Spiggott in consultation with the CA.

Representations have been made that some players may find it a challenge to stand unaided on one leg while manoeuvring the ball with a mallet.  Accordingly, we have asked the coaching staff to introduce into future coaching courses a module on the one-legged stand technique.  This will take priority over all over forms of coaching.  We regret any disappointment felt by people expecting to come on all the other planned coaching events, which we hope to be able to run in November or December at latest.

You know it makes sense...

Why not lay the tube down, and kick them in .Like what I does. In colour order obviously

It is much easier for those of us who cannot(if sober) stand on one leg for long, just lay the tube down and on all fours drive the balls into the tube using a snooker type action with the mallet handle. Unfortunately you may break the 2 metrerule needing help to get up!

The boy Spiggott should be informed that his footwear is totally inappropriate for our club even though he is probably a member of the 'black shoes matter' movement.
