How the sprinklers raised their game.

17/6/2020

If you saw the hard work going on at the sprinklers the other day, you may have wondered what was being done and why.

There are no fewer than 18 sprinkler heads. Many of them were put a bit far away from the lawn when the lawns were laid, and many have sunk in the ground by up to a couple of inches. This means that not all of the sprinkled water clears the surrounding grass, which causes puddling around the sprinkler and of course delivering less water on to the lawns.

Each operation always requires digging a big hole, adjusting the level as necessary, then relaying the turf as tidily as possible. Sometimes a further plumbing job is required so that the sprinkler can be moved closer to the lawn. Sometimes a further electrical job is also required.

All to keep our lawns looking good, staying healthy and playing well.
