High Wycombe vs Wimbledon

Playing croquet against some well-know past tennis stars (including Jonathan Smith ex-Davis cup) is a little daunting but HWCC team were up to the task, winning 6 games to 3. But the real winner was Alan Clark who went the extra mile and produced an amazing spread for lunch along with several bottles of wine which no doubt helped balls through the hoops.

The Recreation Ground is on the A404. If approaching from the north, travel 400m south from the Hazlemere double roundabout, slow down at Holy Trinity Church on your left and look for a small road on your right with Croquet Club and Recreation Ground signs. Coming from the south (High Wycombe) direction, we are about a kilometre north of the Royal Grammar School.
