Ladies and Gentlemen

What a relief that we can now play croquet again at the club – albeit with significant limitations. Although we can’t have our usual GC rollup sessions on Mondays and Fridays, we are aiming to get the best of both worlds: staying safe but also giving as many members as possible the opportunity to play and the chance to say “hello” at changeover.  (Keeping a safe social distance, of course!)

You will have received details of schedules as sent out by Richard. To remind you, lawns are only available when booked through the lawn booking system.  On Mondays and Fridays between 10 and 5 you may only book a session of 90 mins (10.00-11.30, 11.30-13.00, etc) – enough for two GC games. Each session is  limited to one pair to play or one person to practise. In total, this will enable up to 40 members to play each week.

For obvious reasons we shall no longer use the signing-in book and communal pen, but when you make a booking in the calendar, to enable us to provide the council with playing data, please put the names of both players in the “brief description” box - as many of you have already.

Outside these times, there are no formal limits, but we ask you not to dominate the calendar by booking the same slot every week.

If there are any problems accessing the booking calendar, other than later in the evening or early in the morning when it may be locked for maintenance, please let me know.  If you need a reminder of the booking process, I’ll be pleased to send you the guide.

Enjoy your croquet and may the weather hold!

With kind regards
Gerry Halls

The Recreation Ground is on the A404.  If approaching from the north, travel 400m south from the Hazlemere double roundabout, slow down at Holy Trinity Church on your left and look for a small road on your right with Croquet Club and Recreation Ground signs. Coming from the south (High Wycombe) direction, we are about a kilometre north of the Royal Grammar School.
