An enjoyable High Handicap tournament

Congratulations to Pat for Winning the High Handicap Cup! The Final went to a nail-biting 13th hoop with Pat pipping Jenny Leach to the post! The game was played with Jenny's great good humour and laughter. 

There was stiff competition on the day with some wonderful hoop running by Joy Biggs (hoop 3 to 4), Wendy Kingon (hoop 5 from the boundary) and David Parkin (hoop 13 from the back) to secure a 7-6 win against a slightly bemused Nigel Clogg!

The day was divided with two games in the morning, a leisurely lunch and another two games in the afternoon. The Invisible Cup was awarded by our referee, Ian Shore, who kindly helped set up in the morning and checked the handicap cards for their new owners. Thank you to Ian and Sally Rogers for extensive guidance on the day.

The tournament manager suggested layers and waterproofs for a day that was delightfully warm.  She decided to blame the Met Office!
