To all members playing ranked GC matches, for action please.
We have received the latest update from Croquet England with regard to the handicap system and use of the Dynamic Grade (D-grade). The D-grade is applicable for assessing all competition entries and is updated on a regular basis, To get a Dynamic Grade in Golf Croquet, you must play ranked singles matches in sanctioned events (such as tournaments or Southern Croquet Federation league matches). Your grade starts based on your current handicap and adjusts after every match, reflecting your skill level, win/loss results, and the relative strength of your opponent. Dynamic Grades are a 'more reliable' indicator of skill level than handicap cards, because revised start grades are based on opponents' existing grades, and it is a global database. Handicaps may be correct within a club, but not comparable between clubs. I have been requested to check all cards for the season and where necessary make the adjustment. Please could all members check and advise me (Paul Gunn, email [email protected] and mobile 07973 520454) of your current D-grade and check against your handicap card. You can search for your D-grade by following the link here. Thank you. Paul Gunn, HWCC GC Handicapper
