How to make £250+ for our Club in two hours!

Amersham 41Club graced our lawns on a fair summer's evening in early June for two hours of croquet. Most had never played before, but all were well into it after their first half lawn game. Quick six hoop doubles games are a good formula for such events - so easy to manage and I would encourage any member to set one up. Any Committee member, Ed or myself will answer any questions re planning. It's great fun for the guests and helpers - this event was arranged by Ed, with David, Alan, Sharon and myself getting the guests up and playing.

Four twenty minute games from 6.00 to 8.00pm then they are off for a curry. £250.00 plus beer takings raised for lawn upkeep, lots of fun and more awareness of the Club - a very productive two hours. 

I expect that we all know at least one group that we could invite - do give it a go. Always around to help,
