Lockdown closure starts Thursday 5 November

The Croquet Association has told us that their latest understanding is that croquet clubs must close from 00.01 on Thursday until Wednesday 2 December.  This is because the government's requirement for golf courses to close is taken to apply to croquet, too.   HWCC will therefore be closed after this Wednesday.  

The CA has lobbied and has also sought clarification, but has not yet received this. They will continue to seek to establish the exact restrictions on clubs and facilities. As soon as information becomes available, they will publish definitive guidance.   You can follow this on their news webpage here, as well as on this news page. 

Lawn maintenance will continue so that the lawns will be in good condition when play can be resumed.
